The Bank of Italy chooses 4Science to enhance their digital cultural heritage: 4Science was awarded the public tender issued by the Bank of Italy for the development of the project to enhance and publish its digital cultural heritage.
A modern and interoperable Digital Library
Thanks to DSpace-GLAM, 4Science will provide the Institute with a state-of-the-art Digital Library Management System (DLMS), capable of managing the digital content of the Paolo Baffi Library in a structured and interoperable manner. The system will ensure the management, consultation, access, and preservation of both digital publications and the digitized book heritage, particularly regarding ancient works or collections preserved solely by the Bank.
A wealth of knowledge available to the world
The Bank of Italy chooses 4Science to enhance their digital cultural heritage: 4Science will take care of the initial configuration of the platform for the Paolo Baffi Library, including the uploading and metadata of the contents already available online. The project also includes staff training, the adoption of accessibility standards, and the provision of technical assistance services, integration, and interoperability.
The project involves the gradual online publication of the documentary heritage of the Library.
