DSpace Community annual report: a year full of innovations
2025 has been a remarkable year for the global DSpace community. A year marked by innovation, collaboration, and progress.
At 4Science, we are proud to have played an active role in this journey. Our contributions to the DSpace and DSpace-CRIS merger discussions reflect our deep commitment to the platform and to the global community. These conversations are shaping the next evolution of DSpace and will allow us to be even more involved in delivering a solution that is more accessible, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of institutions worldwide.
As a Certified Platinum Provider of DSpace that has donated the highest number of development hours since the DSpace 7 era, we would like to thank the entire DSpace community. Your collaboration, trust, and support made these achievements possible.
We are excited to build on this momentum and look ahead with confidence and enthusiasm. The future of DSpace has never looked brighter, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together.
Happy Holidays from 4Science!
As the year comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey we have shared throughout 2025.
This has been an intense, rewarding, and positive year for 4Science. Together with our partners, clients, and the communities we support, we have delivered dozens of projects, welcomed many new institutions, and strengthened long-standing collaborations across the globe. None of this would have been possible without the trust, collaboration, and shared vision of the people and organizations that chose to work with us.
We are grateful to all the new institutions that chose 4Science in 2025 and those that continue to collaborate with us year after year.
This year also represents an important milestone for the entire DSpace community. Following the approval of the DSpace / DSpace-CRIS merger, 4Science’s role within the community will be more central than ever. As a Certified Platinum Provider of DSpace and one the platform’s leading contributors, we are committed to supporting and leading the merger for a unified, and more sustainable DSpace that better meet the needs of research institutions, libraries, and communities worldwide.
We also want to thank the people behind every project: repository managers, researchers, developers, librarians, and community members who work every day to make Open Science a reality.
As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with enthusiasm, responsibility, and a renewed commitment to the communities we are proud to serve.
From everyone at 4Science, we wish you happy holidays, a restful end of the year, and a great start of the new year.
We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2026.
