OpenAlex now available in DSpace!

This initiative with the collaboration of the University of Cambridge and supported by the Vietsch Foundation, aims to enrich open scholarly information and streamline research workflows.

OpenAlex is an innovative platform that offers free access to millions of scientific publications, researchers, institutions, and academic sources. The integration simplifies and speeds up the entry of publications and other entities. This ensures a repository that is always up-to-date and comprehensive.

The integration is available out-of-the-box starting from version 9.0 of DSpace, released in May 2025. For users of version 8.1, it can be included via a dedicated patch

Watch the webinar: DSpace (& DSpace-CRIS): one application, multiple domains

Have you missed our webinar in collaboration with Lyrasis DSpace (& DSpace-CRIS): one application, multiple domains?

In the Webinar we presented our last contributions donated to the community for the DSpace8/8.1 releases.

We made several significant contributions that enhanced the platform’s functionality, performance, and accessibility.

In this webinar, we also demonstrated the interoperability of DSpace within the research ecosystem through various use cases. This will highlight integrations with standard protocols, such as COAR Notify, and external services and registries like DataCite, ORCID, and ROR. These integrations showcase how DSpace can seamlessly connect with other systems to enhance research workflows and data management.
