The University of Palermo chooses DSpace-GLAM. The University of Palermo continues to invest in its historical and cultural heritage, selecting the DSpace-GLAM platform for the digitization, preservation, and enhancement of its bibliographic and archival collections. With the support of the Library System and the University Historical Archive, the University aims to make available to the public a wide range of digital documents and resources representative of its multiple disciplinary and research areas.

The University of Palermo chooses DSpace-GLAM. The choice of DSpace-GLAM, a highly flexible and innovative solution maintained by 4Science. The GLAM solution responds to the need to develop new thematic and narrative paths that can tell the richness of the University’s heritage in an engaging and accessible way. With this system, the University of Palermo is preparing to offer a Digital Library that not only preserves but also promotes public access to cultural and scientific resources, ensuring their usability. This project is part of the University’s activities aimed at supporting research and teaching, and the third mission, with the goal of making the bibliographic and archival heritage not only a patrimony to be protected but also a dynamic resource for the academic community and the general public.
