Cornell University upgrades to DSpace-CRIS
Cornell University, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, has partnered with 4Science for the implementation of a tailored DSpace-CRIS system hosted on 4Science cloud infrastructure based on AWS Virginia (US). Ranked among the top 20 universities globally, Cornell becomes the eighth institution on this prestigious list to choose 4Science as its preferred partner for repository implementation and hosting.
Why DSpace-CRIS?

OA@INAF now live on DSpace-CRIS
OA@INAF is the institutional repository of the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) with the purpose of collecting, archiving and disseminating the scientific outputs of public funded research in accordance with the European requirements of Open Access.
OA@INAF is based on DSpace-CRIS that extends the capabilities of the basic DSpace platform. DSpace-CRIS offers a powerful and flexible solution for managing not only research outputs, but also rich contextual information about projects, funding, organizational units, people, and collaborations.
These enhanced functionalities have been essential for OA@INAF to fully capture the complexity of astrophysical research at INAF.
Thanks to DSpace-CRIS, OA@INAF can offer advanced reporting, improve metadata quality, and support interoperability with national and international research infrastructures.

Open Repositories 2025: a recap
It was a great experience to be the Platinum sponsor of the Open Repositories conference held at the University of Chicago (June 14-18).
At 4Science we never take for granted the opportunity to meet in-person with a community that we have been supporting since the beginning. Our team was honored to showcase many different presentations, chat with new and old friends, and as a cherry on top, we also sponsored the Cruise dinner experience as a moment of enjoyment, sharing, and community.

Towards enriched open scholarly information: integrating DSpace repositories and OpenAlex
At 4Science we do not want just to give back to our community throughout lines of code and Open-Source developments, we also want to give back creating opportunities to meet in person sharing ideas, learning new things, and understanding people’s experiences and stories. Only in this way are we able to develop the best solutions and services tailored to our community’s needs.
We want to thank again all the attendees and organizers for a wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time!
