The State Library of Massachusetts now live with DSpace-GLAM
In the new digital repository instance the content was enhanced in a DSpace-GLAM fashion.
The team took great care to preserve the State Library’s visual identity. The team also reorganized the data, which enabled flexible management through the open-source Digital Asset Management Solution maintained and optimized by 4Science.
While navigating across a vast number of digitized and digital documents*, search capabilities and tools* make a difference in the user experience and in everyone’s workflow.
The strong collaborative relationship between the 4Science and State Library teams made this great project possible. The new platform launched in July after months of hard work, collaboration, and development. The new platform is now live

MTSU The first DSpace 9 now live
We are excited to announce that the first ever DSpace 9 is now live!
The team at Middle Tennessee State University has always been at the forefront of DSpace innovation. Thanks to the longstanding collaboration between MTSU and 4Science, this repository made history more than once.
MTSU in the history of DSpace
Back when DSpace 7 was still a huge upgrade (even called a migration for the type of effort) and many DSpace adopters were skeptical and afraid of taking this step into the future, MTSU was the first ever to make the transition with the support of 4Science.
Now four years after being the first DSpace 7 ever, MTSU is back in history books, becoming the first DSpace 9 repository globally.
UCD Dataverse is now live
The University College Dublin (UCD) implemented, with 4Science’s support, a new Dataverse instance through our AWS hosting services. After years of productive collaboration between UCD and 4Science for the DSpace-CRIS platform, the support has been extended also to a new Dataverse solution.
UCD needed a reliable solution to support the data repository of the Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA). ISSDA is Ireland’s leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination. Based at UCD Library, its mission is to ensure access to quantitative datasets in the social sciences.
