4Science adds two academic clients in the USA: Princeton and Harvard Library have engaged 4Science to develop their new DSpace platform with a hosted solution ISO 27001 certified through our longstanding partner, AWS.
A new era is on the horizon.
Some notable examples of relationships that will launch in 2025 in the US include:
- Princeton University
- Harvard Library
- University of Maryland
- State Library of Massachusetts
- University of Tennessee
The Projects
4Science adds two academic clients in the USA: Princeton University is focused on improving its repository for hosting undergraduate theses and dissertations. The team’s goals were to streamline processes extending the DSpace data model based on the institution’s technical requirements. Harvard Library launched a new version of its (DASH) repository, based on DSpace8.,
The Solution
For Princeton University, the DSpace platform was extended to integrate with external tools, improving administrative support for the student body making thesis and dissertation submission much more efficient.
Harvard Library’s updated DASH repository will streamline workflows for both administrators and users, with enhanced search and discovery capabilities, and comprehensive author profiles. In addition, the repository now includes DASH Stories, a qualitative feedback service where users share narratives on the impact of articles or open access.
We look forward to continuing to work with these institutions to advance digital scholarship.
